Terms of Use

1. Who We Are and Acceptance

JyotishAI (the "Service") is operated by Utsav Golakiya, trading as JyotishAI ("we", "us"). It is available through our mobile apps and this website.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. The Service is not directed at anyone under 18.

3. The Service

JyotishAI provides Vedic-astrology content generated by software and artificial intelligence: Kundli (birth chart) generation, daily horoscopes, an AI astrologer chat, Panchang, Kundli matching, tarot, dream and journal reflections, personalised PDF reports, and related tools.

We may add, change or remove features. We try to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Personalised reports are digital content delivered in the app as a PDF; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

You may enter another person's birth details only with their permission, or as the parent or guardian of a child, and you are responsible for their accuracy. Muhurat dates and name suggestions are traditional guidance, not guarantees.

4. Astrology and AI Disclaimer

Readings, predictions, remedies and other guidance are produced by artificial intelligence using traditional Vedic astrology frameworks. They are beliefs and interpretations, not facts, and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

The Service is for personal guidance and entertainment. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and you should not make important decisions based on it alone. If you are in distress or in danger, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

5. Your Account

  • You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). Keep your device and number secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate birth details — the astrological calculations depend on them.
  • One account per person. Do not share or sell your account.
  • If you enter another person's birth details (for example for Kundli matching), you confirm you have their permission.

6. Wallet

  • You can add money to your JyotishAI wallet (minimum ₹100 per recharge). AI chat is charged per minute from this balance at the rate shown in the app before you begin.
  • Promotional bonus credits or free minutes may be added to your wallet. They have no cash value, cannot be refunded and may be withdrawn or changed for future purchases.
  • Wallet balance can only be used to pay for JyotishAI services. It cannot be transferred, withdrawn or redeemed for cash, except where a refund is due under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Passes and Subscriptions

One-time passes

A pass gives access for the period stated at purchase (for example 24 hours). It is a single payment and does not renew.

Auto-renewing subscriptions

  • A subscription renews automatically at the price and interval shown before you pay (weekly, monthly or yearly) until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method.
  • Setting up the recurring payment (e-mandate) is authorised by you with your bank, card issuer or UPI app. In line with Reserve Bank of India rules, you will receive a notification from your bank or the payment processor before each renewal is charged.
  • If a plan includes a free trial, the first charge is made when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
  • You can cancel at any time in the app under Profile → Chat Packages. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • If a renewal payment fails, access may pause until payment succeeds. We may change prices for future renewals and will tell you in advance so you can cancel first.

8. Payments and Taxes

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments, which is the Merchant of Record for purchases made through the Service. Dodo Payments collects your payment, issues your invoice, accounts for applicable taxes such as GST, and handles payment-related enquiries together with us. Their name may appear on your bank or card statement.

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We do not store your card, bank or UPI credentials. Subscriptions started earlier through Razorpay continue under that arrangement until they are cancelled.

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing or abusive.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, overload or interfere with the Service, its AI models or its security.
  • Do not scrape or collect data from the Service by automated means.
  • Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.
  • Do not upload content you have no right to share.

10. Your Content and Our Intellectual Property

Your birth details, messages, journal entries and images remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

The apps, website, design, text, logos and technology belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to access the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

11. Suspension, Termination and Account Deletion

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or from our account deletion page. Deleting your account immediately cancels any active subscription and permanently erases your profile, birth chart, chats, journal and wallet. Unused wallet balance and remaining pass or subscription time cannot be recovered afterwards, so request any refund you are entitled to before you delete.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for decisions you take based on astrological or AI-generated content, or for indirect or consequential losses.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.

13. Grievance Redressal

If you have a complaint about the Service, a payment, or how your personal data is handled, write to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the competent courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer to approach another forum.

15. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by another reasonable means before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
